Da’wa Activities (Islamic Propagation)
Kenya Muslims Charitable Society has undertaken Da’wa (Islamic propagation) activities including:
Establishment of Islamic cultural reading centres at Nairobi, Garissa and Wajir;
Conducting and Organizing major Da’wa conferences in the country;
Organizing seminars and educational workshops for Islamic school’s teachers and students in schools, colleges and universities;
Organizing Weekly public lectures at Nairobi centre;
Conduct monthly lectures at Jamia Multipurpose Hall on topical issues;
Da’awa Caravans to far flung areas, schools, madrasas, mosques and at other public places;
Constant Durus at mosques e.g. Qur’an Tafsir, Sira of the Prophet (SAW), Hadith, etc.
The society owns and operates three public libraries at Nairobi, Mandera and Wajir and has been centres of culture and thought as they played important roles in disseminating a reading culture within the Muslim communities.
KMCS holds public lectures on topical issues at Jamia Multipurpose Hall.
